Autumn.
23 September, 2010
There is nothing in nature I love more than the transtion from summer to winter– when the sun’s angle on the earth changes and, as a result of too little light, the leaves change to yellow, orange, amber, and red. Something about the fresh air and the need for a sweater make me feel so alive–much more so than the gallons of sweat that summer brings. I can tell it’s that time of year now, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. This summer is dead to me. I’m ready to go to the Gorge and hike through this new autumn.
